Hello from a once again quiet Green Cove!
Well, it was an amazing summer! Thank you to everyone who was here to make it so great...WE MISS YOU ALREADY!!!
2008 was a summer of trips!
The Lake is Back Up!! All of you main campers probably remember how low the lake got towards the end of the summer. The rope swing and zip line even had to be closed! Well after some much needed rain, the lake is back up! Which means that the zip line is back in action! A couple of weekends ago Hannah Owen had her 14th birthday party at Mondamin (Happy Birthday Hannah!) Several local Green Cove Girls were in attendance, including Summer Kiesling, Courtney Jo Simpkins, Caitlin Dollar, Karley Walker and Annie Jordan. Dusty Stepp (you may remember him as "The Video Guy") was also here and got some great footage of the girls going down the zip line so that we can have it in the new camp video!

Speaking of the NEW video... It is getting close to being finished!!! You probably remember being video taped this summer for the new camp video. Remember, we got hundreds of hours of footage and only about 25 minutes will get used, so not everyone will be in it. HOWEVER, if you aren't in it yourself, you are bound to see a lot of your friends! Nancy and I just got the first sneak peak of a section of the film and it is looking really great! Check your mailboxes soon, we are hoping to get it wrapped up and sent out before the end of fall!
Come to a Green Cove info session! Fall is when Nancy, Frank, Andrew, Robert & I hit the road! We travel all over the country talking to people about camp (we will also have the NEW video and photo albums with with us). Our travel schedule will be posted soon. Check to see when we will be in your town and come out to see us!
Summer '09 Here We Come! You may not be able to believe it, but we are already starting to get ready for summer '09!! We already have a bunch of registrations and counselor applications!! If you know that you want to be here it's not too soon to let us know!
Send me your pics! Nothing is more fun than getting to know what you girls are getting into once you leave camp. If you meet up with any of your camp friends this year, send me a picture and a note telling me what you did. We are going to be working hard this year to keep you up to date! Check back for new web postings each month!
